Guess NC State is not the national power everybody wants to think they are. They've still got two ass whippin's coming to them at Ohio State and at Florida State. I guess they need to finish higher than 4th in the ACC before they start talking national championship. Gotta walk before you can run, boys. I don't want to hear "we've beat FSU two years in a row." You don't honestly think they're going to beat them 3 in a row?

YES TWO YEARS IN A ROW!

Just kidding and yes we were way too optomistic it would appear.
We need some experience on that DL. O well at least we have the Heels and Devils on the schedule.

FSU. I know NCS beat them the last 2 years, but that streak will come to a grinding halt on November 15. No way they make it 3. Looks like another middle of the conference finish for the "National Power" Wolfpack.

And think about it, next year Miami & Virginia Tech join the conference . . . two more mountains to climb to get to the BCS . . . Looks like it might be several years befor all the stars align themselves correctly and NC STATE gets to one of the major BCS Bowls !!!!

From 1987-2000 (14 years) FSU won at least 10 games each year, finished in the top 4 in the nation each year, and won 2 national titles. Until NCS finishes higher than 4th in the conference and accomplishes what FSU has, like winning 109 games in a decade as they did in the 90's, the comparison of the 2 programs is apples and oranges. Pretty funny it took a former FSU assistant to get the Pack to mediocrity, because that's all they are, mediocre. They allowed 20 points to a Western Carolina team that DOOK held to 3 yesterday. Mediocre at best.

I think it's funny how an NCSU grad made things so good for Bobby Bowden that it's taken him 4 years to recover since his departure. Mediocrity has beaten mediocrity 2 years running now.
