That's why I say you guys would be crazy to fire him. You could probably get a better Xs & Os guy, and you could definitely get more of a disciplinarian, but you would probably cancel all that out with what you would lose in recruiting.

And on a related note, I have to admit that I'm jealous that your athletic department ponied up the huge salary to bring in Marc Trestman.

 

I think Chuck was a great disciplinarian when he first started, but at some point decided taking playing time wasn't the way to do things. He used to sit Koren Robinson and others all the time. He'd kick guys off the team or suspend them for a season. Maybe all that was for off the field stuff, but damn, multiple penalties by one person in the same game out to be worth some pine time.

At least Bunting has (I think) Carolina playing smart. That alone would have been enough to beat us this season. The offensive beat down was just icing on the cake.
