    . .. for 2022 draft —

    Who do YOU like?

I like what I’m seeing from dual-threat Desmond Ridder

Georgia QB gets hot enough to make noise panthers take him middle of first. But before that they sign an albatross contract with Mariotta, because Tepper was an owner of the Steelers but seems to have taken all his lessons from the Redskins.

funny pres, but seriously want to keep track of the top rated college QBs at beginning of the season and then see just how high they get hyped by next draft. At this point I personally don’t know of ANY of them that should be a high first rounder. ..
BUT judging by last year the “powers that be” might want any and every decent QB to be considered to “have the ceiling” of a franchise QB.

Oh yeah the grade inflation is real- so long as rookie contract QBs are cheap and the game is so tilted to passing. That's I why I googled a list of potentials then picked a guy towards the bottom of the list- the people at the top will get hurt or drop down for various, petty bullshit reasons.

This could actually be a potentially fun idea though- would you keep track of just media/draftnik opinion on QBs or have people post their own impressions? I'd bet if the TV draft guys had to do weekly rankings you'd see a lot of interesting trends.

People feel like Willis has the highest ceiling. Howell seems like the best overall, although he might be more on the Kirk Cousins/ Baker Mayfield spectrum rather than a true franchise quarterback. Slovis or Brock Purdy look like the best fits for a Joe Brady pocket-style offense.

D'Eriq King is the wildcard. He's a good thrower and a great athlete, but 5'9 and brittle AF.

None of the others stand out to me at the moment.

Surprised you didn't mention Rattler, and glad you didn't mention Ridder.

Here are a couple of guys who need to put on some weight and one of them might get hyped into the first round:

Rattler just seems like a lesser Howell. Frankly, I haven't researched enough on Desmond Ridder as a player. I just know he's making bank on NIL right now.

I've never understood why draft analysts don't just watch one game with multiple prospects. If you need to watch every snap, you should probably be working for a team and not in the media.
