With the roll they're on, how can duke be considered an underdog?

The following information is for news matter only. :D

Shaping up to be a decent card this week I think. I'll throw one out now and come back for more later....

    Michigan State (-whatever)
This number - currently at 26 - will only continue to rise between now and Saturday. Rice gave up 466 total yards in a loss to Houston last week. This included 305 yards rushing on 60 carries!! 5 yards a carry? To HOUSTON!?!? This is the same Houston that went 0-11 last year and couldn't run the ball against 11 people picked up off of the street.

Miami is an underdog in the game at Florida. Ha, what a freak'n joke.
Also, Virginia will beat South Carolina IMO.

Also, can Marshall beat Va Tech next week? That is a big game for them as they might be able to go undefeated with that win.
The only other team with a chance to beat them would be Miami (Oh).

College Football is in full gear already.

    Ducks vs. Dogs

Lord, that Oregon vs. Fresno game is going to be ugly. Jeff Grady and Bernard Berrian are both still out. The RS freshman Pinegar gets the start again at QB. Last week vs. San Diego St. the Dogs started a freshman at RB, too, because their speedster sophomore Therrian Fontenot was out with a high ankle sprain.

In short, Fresno will probably be starting a freshman QB, WR and CB. Not good going up against the #13 team in the nation at their house.

NCAA season record: 1-0, +1 unit

    Saturday, 9/7

Purdue (+6) - Everyone is hyping ND now. Why? I did not expect much from ND or MD this year and I was not disappointed by the opener. Blah. ND was a LOT bigger then the MD guys and pretty much ran them over - until ND got close to the red zone. Then the Irish O stalled and couldn't do anything. Purdue will give them more trouble than MD did. They can't be any worse than the Terps on offense.

Texas A&M/Pitt UNDER 41 - These teams could play til Sunday and the two offenses would not score 6 TD's. I am hoping the defenses don't score either.

Michigan State (-29) - This opened at 23.5. I like it when people agree with me, but I hate that so many people like this that the number will be around 31 by the time I get in later.

Utah (-15) - Indiana is young. Very young. Utah's D is not.

Miami (+2.5) - Shocker is right I think. I know that Miami has a bunch of kids playing DB, but the Canes should have better line play on both the OL and DL. For that reason, I'll take Miami.
Side note: I have said before that I think one of the reasons Steve decided to bolt - aside from the cool 25 mil he got - was that the Florida schedule looked like it might have 4 losses on it this year. This would be one of those L's. We'll see.

That's it. Good luck. I usually treat all plays equally. Please feel free to add picks if you have any. this is what I'm going with unless I am bowled over by something I see later tonight.
