Is gonna beat FSU. Anybody got any idea who this would put in the Continental Tire Bowl? I'm thinking Clemson or Wake. I really don't wanna see Wake, I was hoping for State. Anybody know what the possibilities are?

Silver, here goes... and the standings don't include the Clemson-South Carolina game.

    Conference/Overall/Team
    7-1, 8-4 Florida State
    6-2, 8-4 Virginia
    5-2, 9-3 Maryland
    5-3, 10-3 NC State
    4-4, 6-5 Clemson
    4-4, 7-4 Georgia Tech
    3-4, 6-5 Wake Forest
    1-7, 3-9 North Carolina
    0-8, 2-10 Duke

    Saturday, November 30
    Florida at Florida State
    Georgia Tech at Georgia
    Wake Forest at Maryland
    Virginia at Virginia Tech

    Bowl Outlook
12/23 NC State in Mazda Tangerine Bowl vs Big 12 5/6/7
12/28 Clemson in Continental Tire Bowl vs Big East 4/5
12/30 Georgia tech (again?) in Seattle Bowl vs Mountain West 4
12/31 Virginia in Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl vs Southeastern 5
01/01 Florida State in Toyota Gator Bowl vs Big East 2 or Notre Dame
01/01-02 Maryland in Sugar Bowl or Orange Bowl vs BCS team

Wake is eligible but out unless they defeat Maryland next week or a slot opens by some conference not using all their bowl tieins. FSU gets the BCS spot over Maryland regardless of what happens in the Maryland-WFU game. Clemson owns ties breakers over both Ga Tech and Wake, WFU has the tiebreaker over Tch. Won't matter, they can't beat the Terps.
    Just my amateur analysis there.

So it looks like Clemson vs Virginia Tech or Boston College? I'm betting either one of them will crush Clemson.

Oh well, it's something to do. How was the game last night? I saw the score so I guess you're happy.

Yep, Clemson is probably the best draw the bowl people could hope for in Charlotte as far as filling the stadium, no hotel traffic but they will purchase tickets.

Good first game win for the 49ers Silver. Full court defense was incredible, they couldn't get over half court. Half court D was okay, not great. We started 1-10 and finished 30-56 shooting. Mitchell Baldwin from W-S is going to be a defensive hero, terrorized their point puards. Chris Sager, a transfer from Wisconsin-Green Bay is as good a shooter as Jobey Thomas, will be the sixth man or a parttime starter.

They'll be exciting to watch, perhaps more talent than last year's team overall but I'm not sure they can achieve as much this year. The next 2 years will be the squads to watch.

Well I was excited to see NCSU bitch slap FSU 2 years straight... Tommy misses Chucky I bet... :D

Never really had much against State, just mostly a Tarheel fan. Since the heels suck in Football right now, I pull for State... ;)

North Carolina State's Victor Stephens helps fans to bring down the goalposts after the team's 17-7 upset of No. 14 Florida State Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, N.C.(AP Photo/Grant Halverson)

Several people were hurt with broken legs and knee injuries taking the goal posts down here and at the Clemson-USC game. Police used pepper spray in Columbus at the Michigan-Ohio State contest to keep fans away.

It's fine to celebrate your victory but don't do something stupid to hurt someone else or yourself!

Since when did beating the no 14 team call for tearing down the goalposts? Especially since NCSU was ranked in the top 10 just a few weeks ago.
