that's brutal. That defines why TOB isn't a good fit for a program that wants to be one of the better ones in the country. He doesn't recruit athletes, instead he recruits more on character. Now he's got to scramble to be decent at best in the backfield when in reality those 2 guys would either not make the depth chart or be bottom on the depth chart at UNC and most other programs. Usually being more athletic means you're less likely to have one of these freak injuries happen, or if they do happen a healthier body can recover from them quicker. He's also being exposed for his lack of a pipeline - at BC he had that catholic school pipeline that sent him a few players every year where they were overlooked and his ability to coach them up was very evident. With the lack of any pipeline and the lack of his recruiting abilities are really showing.

The TOB period will finally be over for NC State fans after this year; hopefully he'll take that bad ju ju with him

I hope so. IMO, he doesn't fit the mold of what NC State fans want from a head coach. That's why Chuck was so loved, he had that cocky flamboyant attitude that the fans appreciated. TOB is too rough around the edges for the fans to embrace. Combine that with his lack of recruiting and again, lack of winning, it only makes sense to go into a different better direction. With that defense that only has a couple of better than average players, there are still a half dozen high school defenses this year that are better than NC States - in TOB's 4th year. His lack of a pipeline and his clear lack of "coaching up" ability are really starting to show.

Imagine if NC State lost 2 or even all 3 games vs. UNC? That leaves him with 4 or 5 wins a season. He's only stayed in the graces of the fan base by beating 1 team, and beating them 3 times. Otherwise, he hasn't done ANYTHING in 4 years. With NC State's history, facilities and University, he has no excuse not to be in a better position than he is right now.

**I'm leaving the Carolina Blue glasses off, this is my unbiased general football opinion.

There is some truth to what you say, but how do you know how good/bad State's defense is going to be this year?

...you are one ignorant poster. You can put your tarheel blue shoes on and take a hike back to Obamaville.

Yes NCSU has issues in their program but YOU, yes YOU, don't know a damn thing.
Put up some $ to the Pack and quit slingin' snot. I'll match you 3 to 1 dollar for dollar pal....Chuck the chest is a mook. He was part of a great $ enhancement in the program, but as for coaching he was a bust. It was his awesome staff, yep, the highest paid D1 asst. in the nation at one time.

TOB is doing fine for now, and Yow will see to it quick if she sees otherwise

In the mean time, i've got my checkbook out, do you?

lol, it was just my opinion, I'd like to see State do better, I've said before, I grew up with the Holt brothers and still keep in contact with some of the family - I don't hate NC State like most UNC fans. So my opinion isn't that far off from most NC State fans that think logically.

I'm an "ignorant poster" yet you're the one wanting to place a wager with a stranger over the internet? :handjob:

I'm hoping the entire ACC steps it up this year.
