Pack's recruiting class is very much under the radar. Some of their gets are very very good IMO.

Jarvis Byrd is one as he became coveted by FSU near the end. Cousin of Alphonso Smith at WFU and comes from a great football high school. He also absolutely shut down the 4* WR going to Georgia in a game earlier in the year. Scout has him at a 2* so that would qualify him as under the radar for scout. Rivals has him as a 4* which helps to show the stupidity of the star system.

Denzelle Good was one but then Scout noticed that he was awesome at the Shrine Bowl and was the 2nd best lineman in the Carolinas according to the Scout.com guy (the kid going to Clemson was called the best by this one guy) covering the Shine Bowl so they moved Good up to a 4* and the #6 OG in the nation.

James Washington is another. TOB identified him in his Junior year and after camping at NCSU in the summer, he got an offer and committed in June before his Senior year. During his Senior year, he averaged almost 10 yards a carry in 6A in Florida which is dang impressive. The scouting services largely overlooked him because he committed to NCSU so early, didn't do the normal camp/showcase route that uncommitted kids do, and Florida has several other really good backs. Oh yeah, Washington is already enrolled at NCSU as well as he graduated early from high school.

Yea, with Wilson/Glennon/Proctor, there is no chance Beck will see the field.

NC State picked up two big recruits.

Robert Crisp and Pete Singer. Crisp is ranked as the #5 OL in the nation.
