Who's coming in for this recruiting class that can make an impact?

Is there going to be competition at quarterback or does Wilson already have the starting job? E.T. was really good in HS, what are the plans at qb?

Toney Baker. Any news on him? Did he get a medical redshirt? What about that wide reciever who had that brutal back injury before the season started, did he get a medical redshirt?

What's reasonable expectations and results on this years schedule?

We really don't have a position that they could come in and make a large impact. Our only impact losses from this year are at RB and TE where both of those guys were already sharing time. We had so many injuries this year that we ended up having to play a ton of guys which should help our depth this coming year plus we almost redshirted the entire 2008 class. If I had to make a guess, I would say Jarvis Byrd has as much chance to make an impact as anyone. I think our Secondary will be the weakest part of the team and Byrd (2* on Scout but a 4* on Rivals and heavily recruited by FSU) sounds like he has the ability to make an impact. A couple of the DTs could end up in the rotation as well.

We obviously have Glennon who redshirted last year. He was a top 5 QB so the competition between he and Wilson should be interesting. I think there is no way you can sit the 1st Team All-ACC QB but Glennon will see some series too I think.

Unfortunately, I'm not hearing a ton of great news on Baker. Bowens is expected to be back and he was our best WR in 2007 (41 rec. for 598 yards and 3 TDs) but who knows how he will come back from a back injury.

Lord, given our injury issues from this past year, it is so tough to say. I like the depth we are starting to build and almost redshirting entire classes will pay off in the long run hopefully. I'd like to see a top 3 finish in our division and 8/9 wins at the end of the year but that is more of a wish than an expectation. So many things are out of our control that expectations end up making us look foolish (us NCSU fans definitely know this).

Could get eerily similar to VT's situation last season....

Mayby TOB should hire Punting as a QB's consultant so he can come up with a 2 series alternating QB scheme. :victoryg:

if by "article" you mean blog, then yes, it was a good blog. It may however be somewhat of a "makeup" for the backlash she got for her retarded ranking of ACC stadiums to play in.

    http://www.statefansnation.com/inde...rter-finley-11th-toughest-stadium-in-the-acc/

TOB's getting what he wants, nobody too spectacular or none of the top recruits, but he never has for the most part. Ranked #36 overall on scout.com with 2 4*'s and 13 3*s and 27 total commits. That's a classic TOB class. He's building a similar style program that he built at BC (which has been destroyed via the AD) at NC State.

NCSU would take VT's 2008 season in 2009.

oh yeah, TOB is 2-0 vs. the Heels.
