    Amato Gone

Mathmajors......Let me say it one more time "Amato is Gone". I like Chuck, but he has lost total control of this team. Tonight vs Ga Tech....Choice 32 carries 163 yds 2 TD's, Calvin Johnson 9 recps 166 yds 2 TD's, J Johnson 3 recps 40 yds 2 Td's. This against the Pack D. The offense did not score, TD Int return, Kickoff return and 3 Deraney FG's. Penalties 10 for 97 yards. I mean it goes on and on, and I truly would have never thought this out of a team coached by Chuck.

I don't think he's gone, but he should be.

Chuck's teams have always been penalty whores .. he brought that with him from FSU. I'm surprised when they DON'T get penalties.

It's easy to say that, but do you really think Lee Fowler is going to fire an alum that has made a shitload of money to build new facilities after a couple of down years? Granted he's done nothing extraordinary over the long term, but Fowler has proven MORE than forgiving in the past.

And after all that, they still could have won some of these close games. Stupid shit kills them, but everyone acts like he's indifferent about it. I seriously doubt that. His ineffectiveness to correct the stupid shit is what's frustrating. But is all that going to get him fired? At many schools, certainly. At this one? I don't believe so. I just don't think Lee Fowler is going to fire a guy who has, for the most part, kept his teams in games, regardless of the stupid shit.

    Here's the best part:

"...Fowler said Amato, who has three years remaining on his contract after this season, would be evaluated at the end of the year..."

I'm sure a 7 game losing streak and yet another loss to the lowly Heels would make this an interesting evaluation.

It's not their policy to publish rumors, but they'll speculate until they're (*gasp*) blue in the face. It wouldn't surprise me if he did apply to transfer, but all that crap about respect this and that, I don't buy it.
