Saying he can't coach is kind of stupid considering that he is an assistant coach in the NBA and has a ring in college as a player and a coach. I think N.C. State made about as good as it could've done in picking a coach with all the baggage surrounding the situation. Saying he can't coach when he hasn't coached in College is kind of stupid. I'd like to see that High School Coach get an assistant coaching job with the Pistons...On a lighter note, anyone remember him being on the 88-89 Hornets :ylsuper:

he must be referring to Sidney's 79-228 record as an nba head coach.

    Those were basically expansion teams.

And any high school coach that says anything like that has got to be a tool. What the fuck has he done?

not really... didn't the timberwolves and hornets come into the league at the same time? the hornets made the playoffs for the first time in '93 when lowe went 13-40 with the t-wolves. he didn't do much better (23-59) when he took over memphis in their 7th year.

I think the big thing for him will be recruiting. He'll have some rough patches as he gets used to the college game, but I think he'll be OK.

I think what the coach was saying is that he can't contact the recruits until he passes that recruiting test and he can't become official until he gets his degree.(Meaning He Can't coach) I don't think he was refering to his NBA record or his mentality.

As far as it being stupid, he might be right. I'm still numb to this whole thing.
