Quit yer bitching ya cheap bastard. I’m sure that if you polled the players, most would rather go to Florida than spend a weekend in Charlotte.

Cool! Maybe I will be able to see GT in Charlotte. If they get sent out west again I'm going to be pissed.

They chose to go out west if I remember correctly. Turned Charlotte down because the players said they wanted to go somewhere farther away than Charlotte.

I think you're right about last year, but the year before they went to the Seattle bowl. I 've already bought tickets to the Tire bowl and I want to see GT. I think they have a good shot at it considering Virginia played there last year and the possibility of VT being the Big East team (I wouldn't think they would want a Virginia- Virginia Tech rematch )

Last year was the first Tire Bowl wasn't it? I think that was also the year GT played in Seattle. OF course I drink alot and pull for Duke so forgetting an entire year of college football isn't entirely out of the question.

Last year GT played in the Silicon Valley Classic. The year before they played in the Seattle bowl which is now the Tire bowl.

The Continental Tire Bowl was a brand new bowl last year. It has no relation to the Seattle Bowl or any other previous bowl. It is owned by Queen City Bowl, Inc. which is a part of Raycom Sports. Raycom Sports did operate the MicronPC Bowl (ne' Blockbuster Bowl) in Florida for the local bowl ownership.

We won't know until after the Pitt-Miami game who will be in the CTB. This past weekend sure changed the bowl picture from a Charlotte end in a dramatic fashion.
