Please, N.C. State had one of the best QB's in the nation last year and managed to go 7-5 and thought they were worthy of a BCS bid. Duke is awful, but is actually improving a little bit. UNC is bad, and Wake Forest is mediocre at best. If N.C. State played in the SEC they would get crushed. 5 of the top 16 teams are in the SEC and South Carolina should sneak into the top 25 after 3 weeks since they should beat their next 3 opponents. There's hardly any parody in the ACC. It's a little bit better now that Virginia Tech and Miami are in it, but Florida State has absolutely owned the ACC for the past 10 years and now that Miami's in it, the ACC title should stay in Florida for years to come. Maryland has a solid program with Friedgen and he brought them back from being about where Duke is now to being a top 25 program, but don't expect an NC team in the top 3 of the ACC anytime soon. Miami, Florida State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and even Clemson will finish above N.C. State.

What makes you think NC State thought 'they' deserved a BCS bid last year? All the fans thought they had a shot before the season started, but 'they' knew 7-5 doesn't get a BCS bid.

And you think based on the 2 games for Clemson and 1 game for State that Clemson will finish ahead of State? That's just silly. You may be right, but it's a little early for all that.

    Unless you're UNC.

socky......have you found a SEC team to pull for yet??

FLA State doesnt "own" the Wolfpack by no means...check your facts and do find a football team to "cheer on"

He's a Georgia fan, I think. And he's got valid points, but it's not like they're going to cancel the season because everyone thinks one team is going to beat another each week.

I go to the University of Georgia so of course I pull for the Bulldogs but I grew up hating the SEC and loving the ACC, but it's hard to deny that the ACC has been a weak conference for the past 10 years. Just saying that State fans thought they would get a BCS bid at the beginning of last year and ended up 7-5. We had all first time starters on the O-Line last year, and had to replace a running back like Musa Smith and still managed to go 11-3 (2 of those losses being to LSU) Two teams that always seem to be overrated are the Clemson Tigers and Auburn. So if State can beat them they could move ahead of them, but GT is still a question mark. They play good one game and then so-so the next. P.J. Daniels should give State fits all game. Watch for the Bulldogs this year though. We lost 1 man on offense and 3 on defense, and if we beat LSU on October 2nd a spot in the title game is ours too lose, but I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up playing Miami in the Sugar Bowl. Besides Maryland, who is the last team besides Florida State too win the ACC. Didn't UNC tie one year when Mack Brown was there before they went completely downhill.

I don't deny the ACC top-to-bottom isn't as strong as the SEC.

And I don't know how well State will do this year, but it's fun to watch and see because of all the potential on both sides of the ball and the schedule.

Those are a couple of reasons why I don't bother speculating on who's better and all that. It just isn't worth it to me.

I made a road trip to UGA when I was in college - didn't go to a football game but damn if I wasn't drooling all weekend over all the babes. And that was way back in the day when the girls still wore clothes.

State has talent. I know it's been posted before but I haven't seen this pic in awhile so it needs to be posted again.

These chicas ( especially the brunette ) should have posed for that Girls of the ACC Playboy spread.
