    Thank God you're not our AD. You'd just have us go for the best high school coach around. The best can only say 'No'. Why not ask them?

    I'm not saying they shouldn't pursue an elite coach, but the fact that there isn't a bunch of A-List coaches beating down the door to get in speaks volumes.

    I can't recall any specific time an opening came up that A-list coaches beat down the door to try to get.

    I don't think most State fans think NCSU is elite, but that doesn't mean they can't be a little disappointed when coaches are turning down a mil and a half a year and then some.

    I think that you should e more worried about running off about the best coach you were gonna get because you thought that you were elite.

    UNC's last 2 coaches before Roy had a combined one year head coaching experience. Tubby Smith had been at Georgia for two years when he was hired at Kentucky. Ben Howland did a good job at Pitt before moving, but that was his only major stop. It'd be a stretch to call any of those guys A-list coaches when they were hired.
