Surprised a Carolina fan would think the NBA has always sucked. I guess you're not a huge MJ fan.

It kind of sucks now, in general. Their are some teams that are entertaining, that pass and have more than one guy who can finish.

Mavs are fun, Spurs, Lakers are fun. Rest of the league largely sucks right now.

As I have said before, if I want to watch 18 year old kids play basketball, there are a few options. UNCC is one, East Mecklenburg High School another option.

I'll watch a few Celtics games and catch the highlights on Sportscenter but don't get really into it until the All-Star break or after March Madness has ended.

one other option I would of voted for:

the NBA used to rule in the late 80s/early 90s, but they have ruined it.

i say its ok, but it will get better. when david stern gets the wake up call in his $$, he'll realize that the product needs to change. and as you can see with the influx of fundamentally sound players from europe, i think the change in the infrastructure of how america plays the game is now going to change.

somehow the NBA P.A. has to agree or take legal action to keep high schoolers out. Or allow them to go pro but they have to have a mandatory 3 years in the NBADL.

the other part of the NBA that soils me is there gauranteed money. The NFL has the best labor deal in that you only get paid if you make a team. I can't watch NBA games with chumps that suck making 15 million per season and are hurt all the time too. I would like to see some code of apperance instated too. The thug look has got to go. Magic, Isiah, Michael all looked like they could make a sales call to a customer or company, and not some cat from a P Diddy video.

I think the high school issue will largely work itself out. With all the international players coming over, you'll see more high schoolers not risking falling into the second round and not getting a guaranteed deal. They'll probably go to college for a year or two to build up their stock. Of course there will always be the idiots who let people convince them that they are the best and will be the top pick no matter what.

As for some sort of appearance code. Yeah MJ and Magic and Isiah all looked good, but there were a lot of slobs back then too.
