San Antonio is sitting pretty. Defending NBA champions and a boat load of cash (with the Admiral retiring) to spend. Early on the rumor was for them to go after Jason Kidd. But a funny thing happened. Tony Parker. He help his own and then some against the annual All-Star and is a $hit load cheaper, for now. Another way they could look is PF. Slide Duncan over to play center and sign a Jermaine Oneil or Elton Brand. Oneil can also play the 5. Personally I would like them to sign Oneil, Kidd stay in NJ and Elton Brand stay in Clipville one more year and then escape as an unrestricted FA next year and come back to the Carolinas as a Bobcat

absolutely. the upgrade of kidd over parker is pretty big, but parker is young and pretty good still. malik rose isn't going to cut it at PF and then they'd have no real backup. O'Neal or Brand would be huge and would fit in exactly with their playing style. How could you double TD and leave one of those guys?

I think Speedy Claxton and Tony Parker can control the Spurs offense. They have a well balanced team with pure shooters coming off the bench if needed.

Yep, with 62 year old Steve Kerr still draining 3's, they'll be fine off the bench.

Also I read somewhere that the Clips have the option to either not try to resign him, or roll in a 1 year club option to retain Brand for a year and then he could be an unrestricted FA next year. Basically sign him and then trade him to get something for him via a trade. He would make a nice corner stone for the Bobcats when they start building a team
