Bowen definitely sucks at free throws, but Kidd is my pick for someone who looks like a pansy shooting from the line. Not to mention that he is a wife-beater (during his stint at Phoenix a few years ago, made the front page, next thing you know he got traded to NJ).

Game 4 is just as ugly as the others so far, lots of no-calls on missed shots from 2 feet away, then a blocking call and a T. on Kidd when he mouthed off. Up until that point, it looked like NJ was getting the ref's home court advantage; maybe that was a make-up call.

P.S. WTF is up with Bruce Willis' fucking hat?? I guess that Rug-Rats stint messed up his head.

    he's sitting next to joumana.:mushy:

nets are playing really loose tonight and seem to be trying to let their athleticsm take over the game. they need to keep attacking. the spurs can just suck, at times.

We have a series again New Jersey 77, San Antonio 76. Ugly game. Tony Parker goes off for a 73 Gremlin like shooting 1-13 and
    3 points

    Yawn....

I'm just not feeling it. It doesn't have fire that previous finals have had. Even the Sixers/Lakers series had some fire in it.

Great performance by the Spurs. They got hot and New Jersey couldn't score from the half court set in QTR 4. K-Mart could not find the range. If not for the outstanding play of Tim Duncan though all game long, the Nets would have won this one by 20. Duncan is definately amoung the game's all time elite.

More glitz. You have coaches like Brown and Jackson, who are full of personality and quotable quotes. Shaq and Kobe are two of the most charasmatic and easily identified players in the NBA, playing in the big market of LA. And then you throw in the modern day counter-culture figure of Iverson. Just more personality their.

And now you have guys like Kidd and Duncan, coaches like Popovitch. There's not enough charisma their to outshine Cheech Marin, let alone Kobe.

Tim Duncan is clearly the best player in the NBA. Winning, and doing it leading his team in every major statistical category, with that hodge-podge of over the hill vets and erratic youtherratic youngsters is the ultimate proof that he is the ultimate force in the NBA. He's probably the all around best big man ever. No 7 footer has ever been able to drive and change directions like him, step out and take a 16 foter, collect 10 assists, block shots, rebound, do everything.

But personality wise, he makes Larry Bird look like Bernie Mac. But talent wise, he belongs in Bird's company.

I agree with everything you said, Piper. Duncan is definitely one of the all-time elite players. It was a pleasure to see Robinson go out like this, he is one of the few NBA's good guys, and they will surely miss him.

Did I hear them correctly when they said Danny Ferry became the first Duke alum to win an NBA championship? :D Go Heels!
