In football their money is mostly gained thru signing bonus...no way Phillip Rivers will ever see all of the $40 million of that contract he signed.

The money still counts against the cap - and that's the point.

You know we already have two lottery picks right?

Worst case scenario has us drafting 6 and 14, of course with a shitload of luck we could draft 1 and 2.

Didn't know that part....in that case, damn Paul. Go for Williams for sure. Felton will be available.

I am just not so sure Felton can be a above average PG in the NBA. I am just not sure if he can always create his own shot. Assist are great and I love his reckless abandon but he also could see him turning into a more under control Jason Williams (Memphis) Chris Paul acts like a prima donna ass but the man has skills. He is more NBA ready than Marvin Williams IMO and then if you like trade down the second lottery pick ( for another 1st rounder later on and a 2nd his year) unless a desired player is there

No doubt Chris Paul WILL be a higher pick than Felton. I fail to see though this entire college basketball year that Paul was a BETTER p.g. than Felton. His freshman year, yes. The hype just build from there. Felton killed all the myths about him this year.

Not really in favor of trading the other choice - just take the gift. I doubt anyone extraordinary will be there, but a 2nd rounder won't help us, IMO.

I was hoping Felton might be around at 13 for our second pick, but it looks like he'll go higher than that.

May might actually be a decent fit for our team. He's got the muscle to get rebounds that Brezic can't, and Okafor's shot blocking ability can help mask the lack of height. A three man rotation of Brezic, Okafor, and May would actually be a fairly versitile and young front line, with three good rebounders. All can score as well.

A Paul/May draft doesn't seem so bad to me.

    Paul/Williams would be unreal.

Regardless, I hope the organization doesn't "bet" on the UNC guys to pander to crowd support. We've got to stay focused on adding the best players right now.
