Fuck no. Sullinger is Sean May with a better work ethic.

Would Sean May have been a good player if he had a good work ethic? Just seems like we need offense in the post. If Bizmack is our future at center then our offense from the center position will be weak.

Thomas Robinson is the far, far better player if you want an offense-oriented power forward. Sullinger plays below the rim because he's not tall or athletic. Those players almost never have success in the NBA.

Is Thomas much taller than Sullinger? I do like the sound of Thomas's game but I have not seen him play. I did not keep up with college basketball as much as normal this past year.

I saw a rumor that they might trade the pick for Rudy Gay. I hope that does not happen, Gay is a good player but paid like an elite one.

I would assume that is the plan since they drafted him so highly.

they're in lotto mode, so they should embrace it. it would be silly to trade away the "fruit of the labor" on a guy who already is already established and has a big contract. the only redeeming aspect to sucking as bad as they did is that it'll take a few years to get out of the lottery. in the meantime, you pick up what you hope are good players that are on rookie contracts for the next 3 years. it would be idiotic to to thwart that now, but then again...

but at center? he doesn't have the size. they hope he'll turn into a serge ibaka type player, and ibaka plays the 4. of course, ibaka has a pretty reliable midrange jumper...

I thought he was too short to play center as well but then got deluged with posts on here about how the NBA had changed and 6'9" guys could play center now.

well, you don't necessarily need to be 7' to play center, but it certainly helps. ben wallace did well as an undersized center, but that dude was built like a truck. biyombo is a pogo stick. he lacks height *and* muscle.

he'd do much better as a pf, but he won't do jack shit at either position if he can't develop any sort of consistent offense.
