true, I still want them to stay in school through their junior year. I think it takes 3 years for a lot of these kids to mature, but it's really just a selfish desire to imrpove the college game.

Also, a 2 year limit means JUCO transfers will all but disappear, I'm guessing. they'll just go pro instead.

possibly, but the lack of coverage may hurt the JuCo's they may go to a JC for 2 years and then transfer to a 4 year for a 1 year and out kinda deal.

Lots of jobs have age limits. If you are under 21 you can not work in certain places which sell alcohol. Why can't the NBA do the same type of thing and it be legal?

Yeah, two years is plenty as a minimum. And it would have a smaller level of "discrimination", if it even stands to be in the same noun as someone actually being discriminated against.

I highly doubt that JuCo guys will just outright get drafted. You get better, you get on with a mid-major to show your talent at a higher level. I don't think that would change.

From a smaller school standpoint, definitely, the advantage is to force a guy to stay 3 years. You get to have the Rodney Whites, the Michael Beasleys, the Lamar Odoms on your team long enough to let them help build something.

Why just "smaller" schools? The "big" schools are feeling the effects of the early departees now too. It's getting near impossible to maintain a success level, let alone a core group of players, at any school these days. Even Duke has been bitten.
