20 would be a good age limit.

They need to use the same rule that baseball does. If you want to come out after HS, fine - but if you go to college you can't leave until you after your 3rd year.

That would probably work well for players like LeBron, who were comng out anyway, but would probably tend to push a lot of almost-ready guys into positions where they're not ready to start, have to start, and might never be worth a shit because they were forced up too fast.

Two years in college, that's a little more reasonable, but would still divide a number of prospects into doing things they shouldn't. An across the board ruling simply works better.

20's not bad. That requires a couple years in school, I guess. Then again, guys who get out at 16 might be forced into four years, and that's really iffy.

I say go with an age limit and allow anyone that doesn't meet age limit to choose between College or the NBDL that will pay $25,000 yearly.

I don't get the age limit angle. I'm all for it, but basing it on that distinction invites a legal challenge.

I like the NFL's rule better. And I'm greedy. Gimme 3 years.

Niner fans are watching this one. Could greatly impact us re: Michael Beasely.

Football has a lot of players that red shirt their 1st year. This doesn't really happen as often in basketball. So I can see why two years would suffice in this case.
