Hogwash. I still have the PMs from some of the things we've talked about that you've had to endure. Besides -- I usually don't buy into that "my stuff shouldn't hurt because someone else has it worse" philosophy. One of my favorite authors, John Ortberg said it best: if it's bad for you, it's bad.

I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but if you are stressed out, you should definitely get out, and get some exercise. Now matter how hectic work is, just getting out, and taking a walk for 20 mins. or so, can make a world of difference. It keeps me sane, not to mention all the major health benefits.

Hey mate. Yes - I still have your parcel to post, along with a few others. Damn it all to hell - it'll be bloody Christmas by the time you get your present! I think yours could quite easily be stress related too. I've started small, but useful ways of relieving it - though it's not easy. It's hard to `down tools' and go for a walk when you're in the middle of shit street. I have a nice office environment, do some stretches, and have been known to go for a drive for ten minutes just so I can indulge in some Black Sabbath really, really loud in the office car. I'm really trying to move away from the whole medication thing and I could be onto something with freshly ground linseed. It's rich in Omega 3 (the good stuff, for heart, digestion etc) and I know you have an aversion to `buggering about' in the kitchen, but honestly, it's piss easy. It's half a cup of whole linseed - in the coffee grinder, whizz it up and it's like wheatgerm. Have it with milk, water - urine if you fancy - but it works! It's important that you don't buy it pre-whizzed, or there's little point in it. I know you will hate me saying that, but it's the truth :). I know that it's helping me - not fixed yet, but it's a start! Good luck matey - and hope you feel better soon too.

I'm just seeing the responses in here. Thanks all, and HB- you simply rock.

Honeygirl- you know that whizzing stuff takes time! ;)

The ginger doesn't do a thing for the depression. It does help a a lot with nausea from just about any cause, tho. I discovered this when my daughter was about kindergarten age. She got terribly carsick every time she had to ride any distance, & I read that ginger was much more effective than any any of the motion-sickness meds you could get.

It's very conveniently available in capsules, too.

I haven't found much in the way of supplements or foods that makes a noticable difference for a serious depression. Exercise does help--but like everything else when I'm depressed, STARTING is the damn hard part.

Too true Kitten - and thanks for responding matey :). I thought St Johns Wort was supposed to be good for depression - but I would imagine that's useful for mild, seasonal type `blues' than a clinically based depression. Anyway - I like the ginger idea - Imma go try it soon :).

Plu - pour, whiz, whiz, gulp - :bananalam.
