Could it be caused by excess stress?

I imagine I could have an ulcer, but I really haven't had any other symptoms. I guess I could go to the doctor instead of trying to get medical help on this forum ;)

The reason I hesitate is because they want to medicate you, not really treat you anymore. I don't need antidepressants, I'm stressed to the maximum limits right now, but I'm basically very happy.

It's funny you started this thread Plu - I was thinking of starting one myself. Since starting my new job a couple of months ago, approaching home time, I get terribly wobbly and the nausea sets in. It's really bad on the drive home and for about half an hour after I get in - nasty scrunching tummy pain with that horrid `throw up' feeling - then it goes. I think that it's stress related - and I'm holding my tension all day, come home time it's releasing and that's the side effect of it. What do you reckon? Course, I'm also heading for a doozy of a lupus attack at the minute - but I've not had the nausea before (not that I can remember).

Maybe that's where you're lock'n'loading the stress bits and as you work through the day, that's how it's showing itself?

I've been stressed a lot this year, and I've had a really hard time relaxing. It's definitely taken a physiological toll. I know you've got a lot going on that's weighing on you heavily, and I pray you're relieved of those burdens soon. :(

Are you just feeling nausious, or have you litterally been getting sick? Have you tried Pepto Bismol, or sprite?

I've actually had nausea show up as one of the main physical symptoms when I've gone through bouts of depression. Weird, but true.

Ginger usually works pretty well for me, even if I have to gag a couple of capsules down at first. Ginger ale & ginger teas can be soothing, too. I also find that sometimes a small salty snack--crackers or something--helps a bit.

Kitten - does the ginger help with depression - or do you have to take something else for that as well? I hope that's not too personal a question - just wondering...:).

I'm happy, no depression unless it's very deeply hidden and if it is- hell I want it to stay there :)
The ginger tabs might be a plan, I usually sucked on raw ginger root and I didn't think about the tablet, thanks.
Thank you HB. When I look at what you've been through lately, I hardly even have the right to say the word 'stress'.
No vomikin, I haven't really tried anything much because when it gets in that state, I can't stand the thought of swallowing anything, I guess it might be a little painful too.

Yours for sure sounds like stress. I'm beginning to wonder now if that is mine.
What can we do for it other than medication? I don't have time to do anything as a stress reliever right now, and that is the absolute truth. I guess TBR is the only 'non productive' thing I do all week. I hope you feel better honey, look for a prize in the mail for you and mum in the next 2 years or so :D. I have it all ready!

I haven't had sex in years, it's for 'medical purposes'. :)
