Hmmmmmmmmmmm, its kinda cool what they did with the main sponsors on the HD Jumbotron (make the ads 3d vs. traditional 2d) which is different . . . Dang, can't see the Cherry Blossom Trees in the left field plaza (that's assuming they were able to get them in the ground). I think the team and DC are going to get burned this season by not having enough parking spaces around the ballpark as DC's contract with MLB called for (I forgot what the exact number of spaces they were suppose to have within walking distance of the ballpark . . . ). The METRO NAVY YARD station is 1 block away (behind the parking decks in the outfield) but you can't expect E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E to take the subway to the ballpark . . Some people will still drive regardless

that's a nice ball park. Good for the Nats. I would love to see baseball succeed in Washington. I think this is a GIANT step in the right direction.

Actually, yes you can expect that. You just don't provide enough parking when you build the thing. Anyone driving to that stadium is nuts.

That is a really good lookin park. Not the best, IMHO, but very solid. Those covered seats in left center look pretty cool. What else is up there?

I've pretty much lost my former team loyalty due to fantasy (nerd) baseball, and I've been trying to find another team to follow. Think I may give the Natties a chance. I just hope the ballpark is a hit and they expand the payroll accordingly and keep some talent there.

No parking works for Wrigley Field.....why is it that people want to drive into that mess? I love the way that the police close the streets around wrigley so you can use that space to walk.

RFK was/is a shit hole of a stadium. Went there last year and it fucking sucked. A wet cardboard box would be an improvement

RFK was the first of the cookie cutter stadiums to be built (1961) . . It was the first stadium to be able to go from baseball to football and back with moveable seats (i.e. the 3rd base seats for Senators games swiveled over from 3rd base to centerfield to become sideline seats for Redskins games . . Riverfront Stadium in Cincinatti is the best example of this). The couple of games I went there (2005 & 2007) if you look closely, you can kinda see where this track was in the outfield.

I think now that the Lerners (DC Real Estate Developers) have owned the team for a year, they will start making a move in that direction with the revenues coming into the team now. I wonder how much of the revenue from MASN they get  ? ? ? ?

'Nats Parking Woes on the Horizon ? ? ?

There will be about 5,000 parking spaces around the ballpark, but they will all be for season tix holders (a la BoA Stadium for Panthers games). Everybody else is going to either have to park (MAYBE, if a deal gets done in time) park at the old RFK lots and take a shuttle bus to the games O-R find park in someone's front yard or in an alley in SE Washington (i.e. parking at the old ORANGE BOWL in Little Havana in Miami). I'm not sure I would want to do that   . . . .
