Nash will become the 9th player in NBA history to win back to back MVPs today. He's the only player under 6'6 to do so, and only he and Magic Johnson has done so from the PG position. The other back to back winners.....

    Bill Russell,
    Wilt Chamberlain,
    Kareem Abdul-Jabbar,
    Moses Malone
    Larry Bird
    Magic Johnson
    Michael Jordan
    Tim Duncan

Wouldn't have been my pick this year, as good as he is an MVP needs to be able to stop my grandmother from scoring.

Nash is good, but LeBron is better.

I see multiple MVP's for LeBron in my crystal ball.

If he becomes a better defender. Prince ate his lunch today.

Nash is the prime example of how defense isn't factored into the MVP discussion.

I'd like to think he's more the exception that proves the rule, but perhaps not. Even Bird and Magic were at least adequate defenders. Most have been good to great defenders.

He really just needs to cut it all off. Then it won't always look so greasy.

It's MVP not MOP(Most Outstanding Player) As far as MVP goes it's hard to argue with his selection. He or Lebron are easily the 2 most VALUABLE players to their teams. Just look at what the Suns were able to do without Amare. Take Nash off that team and they probally don't win 33 games.

It's the age old discussion of "what does 'MVP' mean"

You can be the straw that stirs the drink but not play any D. Nash has proven that.
