is Stameys BBQ considered whole in the wall? Best BBQ in NC, better than Lexington IMO.

    no.

Like most Lexington style barbecue there is a connection way back when but the REAL Stamey's, the one that everyone knows, has always been a Greensboro joint. Bridges up in Shelby traces it's roots back to Stamey too.

If you want the best bbq in Lexington go to #1 on Buisness 85 - no others compare.

Another really good hole in the wall bbq restaurant is Short Sugars in Reidsville.

And Franchise I want an address for the what-a-burger in Greensboro. I think you mean the Beef Burger on Lee Street which is one of my favorite old haunts thats still around. And we may have even had this conversation before.

Next time I'm in Mooresville VI is treating me to a what-a-burger ain't that right VI?

yes. I know the Stamey's you speak of it was opened by the original Mr. Stamey's son...he had 2 (maybe more) one stayed in Lexington and opened Stamey's (2 of them to my knowledge) the other opened the one in Gboro. Trust me. Going to his dad isnt going waaaaaaay back.

actually the old man himself opened the restaurant in Greensboro. I know my bbq history now. I always knew Stameys was good but I was surprised to find out how many restaurants around were connected to him and his kids.

I would call first. Its on the corner of some side street that runs into Yanceyville, I can't think of the name, but its on the corner there. I haven't been there a couple years, so I dont know if its still in bidness or not.
