Just to be an ass I'm gonna tell ya his name wasn't Koloff it was Drago. :D I just think that's funny because you're badmouthing his Rocky knowledge.

Ivan Koloff was the old NWA wrestler that fought Ric Flair etc in Charlotte.

Nikita Koloff was another wrestler from those days too. I just saw him at the Mulberry recreation center in Lenoir the other night. It was like I was twelve again watching Dusty Rhodes, the rock n roll express, the midnight express, Kamala the Ugandian Giant etc....

I got to meet a bunch of those guys actually. Larry Zbysko, Bobby Eaton, etc. when a friend of mine was working at Albemarle High School. They did a show inside the gym and he got me backstage. It was cool as hell to here the Living Legend bitch about Vince McMahon.

My brother in law is a cop who worked security. He said he was talking with "Nikita" and he had no russian accent whatsoever but when they did an interview with him he turned it on. He said it was pretty funny.

Most of those guys were walking around the gym before the show and you could go up and talk to them if you wanted.

Nikita was the goldberg of his day.(looking anyway).a buddy of mine lived next to Ivan kolloff, the Russian Bear. I dont think he had an accent, can't remember. he did used to pick his kids up at my jr. high. they were a couple of "hoods" that had no accent as well. he used to wear his russian fur hat though.
