    Some of the speculation I have read was mentioning Zecharia Sitchin and his writings as an inspiration for the movie.

    J.J. Abrams is great at building hype, but if he hypes it up so much then it will eventually be a letdown. There is no doubt in my mind that Lost is going to end in a huge dissapointment.
