Yup. Those underclassmen who are not declaring have made our first pick in ’03 extremely sketchy. With Manning Williams and Woods out and MaGahee no longer in the 1st round picture we are left hoping that Palmer Leftwich or AJ drops to us at 9. Since at least 3 teams ahead of us need offense too we are unlikely to get any of those top 3 offensive players. Do we take a DT or DB or do we reach even farther for the need pick on O?

    My top 9:
Leftwich (IF he’s healthy and conditioned – if not he’s not he should plummet)
    Kennedy
    Rogers
    Suggs
    Palmer
    Wilfork
    A. Johnson
    Newman
    Henderson

After a couple more defensive guys like Robertson and Joseph there is no one else who grades out as actual top 10 talent. Since a trade down is unlikely without the talent left at the 9 spot worth trading up for who do we seriously consider picking there? If we are going to reach a little for an offensive player who is the shortest reach?

    WR Lloyd
    QB Ragone
    RB L Johnson
    RB Suggs
    OT Gross
    OT Harris

I'm hoping Harris or Foster takes a jump over Gross, who reminds me of Jeff Backus.

how can palmer NOT be no. 1? a stud QB can make all the difference to an offense, while a stud receiver can only touch the ball 5-10 times a game.

not like the panthers are getting either one...unless someone lets them fall in our mock draft. :)
