like the idea. But posting something about MTV music awards shouldn't be frowned on. Entertainment encompasses everything Movies, Music and Television

i like it separate. however, math does a fine job of overseeing this forum so, it's all good. for me, it's like what piper said once. they have cd's at walmart, but i like to buy my cd's at a cd place. (you said it best, piper.)

i have a feeling cath and twig will come back if we have music separate. i miss those two! a little forum re-org and they fly the coop. wtf?
    ;)

    Thanks, lexie.:)

I prefer the combined forum, and I'm not against a split, but why does having a completely separate forum all of a sudden make music conversation easier? If anyone really wants to talk music, there's nothing stopping them.

no, it's not stopping anyone. But it's a separate topic. Either way, one of the two major topics will be pushed down to page 2 so talk for another can be up.

It's strong enough to stand on its own. it's strong enough it doesn't need another forum's clutter in it, and vice versa.
As far as making conversation easier, yes. if you go into a forum that you know is made to talk about something, more new topics get introduced, and some feel more free about expressing their enjoyment for something without getting the R&R experience on it.

Strong enough to stand on it's own, just not strong enough to be included with everything else. But there still isn't a halfway consistent number of music threads being started each day. I don't think there were that many being started when it was separate.

This makes for good debate, if nothing else.
