The bright side is this... I'll bet he goes on a wicked streak of consecutive NCAA tournay appearances, because if UNCC can't win the A10 championship nearly every year, there's something BAD wrong.

I agree although it won't be the cakewalk most think it will be. Hell, when you lose to Rutgers, ECU, and South Florida any damn thing can happen.

Yeah, I know, winning a conference that had the #1 team in america and sent two teams to last year's Elite 8 is easy.

They had a down year this year, I say we'll finish 3rd next year. IF GW gets their whole team back, that is. If not, we'll be second.

Am I the only one that finds the wording of this press release a little odd?

First, he makes damn sure everybody knows they contacted him. Innocent bystander?

Second, he says he expressed issues that men's basketball was third. They needed to hear that from him? Why is he trashing a job that he obviously wanted?

Third, "gone in different directions." Yeah, only because they didn't offer him the job. He hung in there until it was obviously not his.

Dude is backstroking with egg on his face. :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

I would imagine going to the A10 is not exactly going to help recruiting. Charlotte mens bball teams will probably get worse as a whole. They should definitely win the division next year however.

A-10 is historically okay. National player of the year something like 3 times in the last 10 or years. St. Joe's was stronger than goats breath last year, ranked #1 for a long time. Temple, GW, Xavier and the like aren't bad.

The bottom feeders of the conference bring it down though, sounds a little like C-USA.

BTW, Lutz is dead wrong. The men's B-Ball program is not third behind Football and the Lady Vols. They are fourth, behind Baseball as well.

Oh, this season is over? I could have sworn the tournament was still going on.

Therefore, they had a down year THIS season and had a great one LAST season.
