john torturo is funny!

saw this one when it came out friday. got the soundtrack too! 3 stars.

 

yeah...that's what Adam Sandler movies need...someone else to help pull it along. he's never had it, it's always been him, some chick, a few SNL flunkies to fill the space, and bit actors to play strange parts. I've got no problem with Sandler being the main character - obviously - but he does need another strong character, one that's not the obvious love interest.

ya must be kidding. there was some funny stuff but not worth shelling out $5. his weakest effort to date. took a couple younguns and they hardly laughed and gave it a thumbs down. the hardest they laughed was when some 5 year-old in the theater would start laughing his heart out at the most random times. cracked the whole theater up. he pretty much salvaged the movie for us.

 

Yeah, I'm with Headcase. This movie wasnt that good. Hell I feel asleep for the first 20 minutes of it. And its funny parts where few and far between.

 

I saw it last night and I was disappointed. I like Adam Sandler but the humor in that movie was like a dentist pulling teeth...... painful.
They showed a trailer for a animated Adam Sandler movie coming out at christmas. It includes a new verse to the Happy Hanukkah song. Now THAT movie looks funny!!

 

this is just my opinion, so i don't want anyone jumping on may case.....

adam sandler is the most unfunny idiot existing.

 

Couldn't agree with you more. Why people would waste their money or time going to the theater to see his movies is baffling to me. Though I enjoyed his Opera Man satire on SNL, I think his movies are just plain awful!
