I was wondering if anyone could help with this. I have a RCA MP3 player, less than a year old, never been dropped, suddenly quit powering on. I can push the reset button in the back and it will come on. Then I connect the USB and it will charge and if I unplug it works fine.

Now the problem is if I have it connected to the computer and it is charging and I open any program to transfer songs such as Windows Media Player or Yahoo Jukebox, or whatever, the MP3 player powers off and the computer no longer acknowledges it and I have to start over with the reset button.

So does anyone know what it could be? As of right now I am stuck with the same songs on it forever.

I have all the latest versions of Media Players that I have tried. Thanks

Check the manufacturer's web site for a firmware upgrade.....

Okay, I did try to upgrade firmware but I get to a point where it says connect device and I do and the mp3 player is on for less than a minute while connected then it powers off and the upgrade continues to say connect device. Is it possible that it is a problem with the usb or would it just not work at all? It does charge until I open a program with it. Also, when I open the program and try to get it to recognize the mp3 player, I lose my internet connection.
