Movie Goofs

One of the best goofs I've ever seen was in the Bronson flick "White Buffalo." When the buffalo's charging, you can actually see the train tracks that it's running on.

The old Japanese monster movies are the best though, with toy soldiers and artillery vehicles used in some scenes. I saw one about a giant octopus where the monster was getting ready to "eat" a woman and you could see a door open at the base of the creature and the woman walked right inside. Cool.

 

They used the Pepsi Cool Cans on The Wonder Years one time. Dumbasses.

Mystery Science Theatre 3000 once uncovered about 10 goofs in one film they were watching. Four-wheelers' tire tracks, a hang glider built from deer skins and bones being over taken by a 747, Ray Ban's on a prehistoric horse trainer, a modern city in the background of a tribal camp. There were others, but I forget cause it's been so long.

 

In 'Swingers' when Jon Favreau is talking on the phone pacing all around the phone base and answer machine is there then not there, it's there and then not there. That thing appeared and disappeared so much it's funny.

 

Almost any scene in a movie where the movie actor is smoking, there are goofs with the cigarette.

 

Don't be knocking John. You realize he is the original gutter?

 

not a goof, but a question...frogs DNA was used in association with the blood of dinosaurs to bring them back, but from all the scientists' knowledge of dinosaurs they didn't seem know dinosaurs are closer related to birds. Seems kinda strange don't you think?

 

in Ben Hur one of the Chariot drivers has a wrist watch on

 

that's kubrick though. the actors that didn't like working with him always cited his shooting tendencies. evidently he was notorious for retaking scenes over and over with only seemingly trivial detail changes until he got it just how he wanted it. slim pickens was his original choice to play the role in the shining that eventually went to scatman, but refused it, vowing to never work with kubrick again after playing major kong in dr strangelove.

another goof...ewan mcgregor's jedi rat-tail braid-thing changed sides on his head a number of times in phantom menace.
