Take it apart. The bottom area where the ball is will "twist off". And clean the "lint" and other debris from the "ball" and the surface that the "ball" rides on. You can use Isopropyl Alcohol.
That is one reason why I tell everybody to get a "Optical Mouse" no chance for "lint" to build up. As mice are so cheap now days. But what ever. Clean the ball and the inside where the balls sits and you should be find.
i myself for the past 6 years have been using both wireless mouse and keyboard. I love the no wire connection you can even put the keyboard in ones lap and still type and such use the mouse even on the arm of a chair.
Was great when i had my knee worked on and had to keep it up in the air for a few weeks.

So, after you clean out the "lint" and replace the "ball", do you just re-insert it and "twist on" that bottom area? Thanks in advance for your "help".

I hoped you learned your lesson. Even when a horse says it, no means no.

    $10-$15 is not "expensive".
