Oh, and Bon Jovi. Most definately can't see that one at all. I can understand the draw to even Billy Joel, Elton john, or Neil Diamond (ugh) though I can't get into them.

Me too Freak. I never have liked Hendrix. Every time I hear one of his songs it makes me cringe.

I also hate U2 - I don't HATE Zeppelin, but I never cared much for em other than 1 or 2 songs.

Hendrix came first. You can't discount influence.

That's right mathmajor, I don't know where music would be without Hendrix and Zeppelin. Next someone will say Clapton.

As far as I'm concerned Jimi Hendrix was the only rocker of that era worth listening to. He had a mellow voice and could really play the guitar. 'Course, I guess that's a strike against him with
"rockers." You know, being deciplined and all...

I can't stand Led Zeplin[sp]. That goddam lead singer sounds like a cat that got it's tail under a rocking chair; or scratching a blackboard. How anyone can listen to that shit is beyond me.

with Zep it's more the music than the words or the singer. I can enjoy the music.

Apparently there are a lot of people who don't like Hendrix and equate that with overrated.

Nothing sucked worse than that Puff the magic Diddy collaboration with Jimmy Page. The lyrics weren't even fresh...it was something about "I want to fight you"?
