Oops! That was one of the later ones. The original had a mother and son get it on after the father leaves and the son watches his mother take a long soapy shower.

In order of disturbance, highest to lowest:

    Jacob's Ladder--the freakiest IMO, & brilliantly done

Something About Amelia--a TV movie I saw ages ago. It was about father-daughter incest, which hit WAY to close to home. I was terrified to watch it, but also felt compelled to watch it.

a Charles Manson documentary that I saw at a midnight movie back in the late 70s--he's a disturbing fucking dude

Schindler's List--because it made the Holocaust so real & personal to me

    The Crying Game

    Deliverance

The Exorcist--especially because I was in my early teens when I saw it, & it was so incredibly explicit for that time

Anaconda--campy, but still my worst fucking nightmare

Arachnophobia was disturbing because of the big fucking spiders--but it had lots of humor, too. The theatre where I went to see it had little plastic spiders on the backs of a lot of the aisle seats when we went in to sit down. Scared the shit out of us for a few seconds!

Natural Born Killers really disturbed me, but I think it disturbed me more that I liked it rather than the graphic nature of the movie.

    Jacob's Ladder
    Saving Private Ryan

I've never seen Passion of the Christ for that reason.

American History X was just fucked up. The curb scene was unreal.

Schindler's List. When they made the ring out of thier fillings...I felt like a girl with a skinned knee and shit.

Disturbing covers a lot of ground. I was disturbed when I saw the excorcist and I was disturbed when I saw Boogie Nights, but for differant reasons.

Pulp Fiction had some disturbing scenes.

The movies that have had me loose sleep or at least were on my mind while I tried to go to sleep were

Hell Raiser, The Excorsist and the Freddie movies.
