You just described my life story. And I still haven't tried to push any traffic cops (or even rent a cops for that matter) down the street with my ride. The cop may have been an ass, but I doubt it was a preconceived notion that was driving the car.

Quit fucking whining and trying to justify this. Wrong is wrong even if you've had to put up with a world of shit every moment of every day of every year of your life.

Were you THERE when it happened? None of us were. All I am asking is that everyone stop persecuting the guy before he's had a chance to tell his side.

Hard to percecute someone on a message board.

Bottom line, it’s never a good idea to knock over a traffic officer with your car. As in, under no circumstances. Don’t do it. Ever. So in the end, there’s nothing for Randy to tell, other than I did something really stupid, I’ll pay my fine, I’m sorry. End of story.

I will only speak for myself. I don't know you, or Randy Moss. But I'm desperately trying to understand how you justify his actions. Maybe my 'spoiled brat' comment was out of line. It's a deduction based on the record I've seen of his actions. If so, my bad.

    Do you? Just curious.

I'll concede he's living in a fishbowl, and it's a very tough way to live. Athletes, politicians, and other celebrities have been dealing with that in America since 1776, and probably before. And I could see where once in a while the badgering would get to be too much.

But that does not justify or excuse his actions. For the most part, he is reaping the consequences of some very poor decisions. Of course, being an NFL superstar, those consequences in some ways are softened, but in other ways amplified.

Statements like this speak volumes about your perceived character. For example just by reading this, my impression of you is that you're some punk gangster that would shoot and kill another human being just because they belonged to the wrong gang or maybe because they were just in the way. It gives me the impression that you feel you're above the law the rest of us have to live by, and that somehow you believe quite sincerely that you're superior to most, if not all, other people on this planet.

I don't know you, but that's the impression your words give. At least to me. For all I know, you're a fine upstanding law-abiding citizen who's just living out your alter-ego on the Internet. Fine by me.

Again, I can't speak for everyone else, but as for me...perfect doesn't even begin to describe who I am. I'm a scumbag at heart, who's trying to live a better life. But here's where my actions and Randy Moss' differ: you will NEVER find drugs in my vehicle; you will NEVER see me strike anyone intentionally with my vehicle; if someone directing traffic tells me to stop, I WILL STOP until he/she tells me when and where I can go; if I was given the awesome privilege of playing in the NFL, I would give every stinkin' bit of everything I had every time I suited up, whether it be on the practice field, weight room, or the playing field; and if I embarassed my team in a public manner, I would apologize in a public manner.

    But that's just me.

I am aghast at the lack of skepticism on this thread.

Are you saying you have already bought the story that he pushed her with the car? How do you know that? The only people who know that are Randy Moss and Amy Zaccardi. Incidentally Zaccardi is NOT a cop. She is a "city employee." God only knows were her motivations are in this mess.

Don't forget the eye-witness who saw the 'pushing' incident. He described it as 'surreal'.

Yes, witnesses ALSO said that he wasn't trying to hurt her and that he appeared confused as to what to do.

I am out. Apparently all of you are Randy-haters, and that's fine. Personally I'd like nothing more than to see Steve Spurrier get fucked over by a quasi-cop.

I was just trying to argue for some circumspection before ruling on Randy's case.
