    This contract has a good buddy clause in it, which says, if I sign do ou promise to sign my good buddy Spoon.

    And yes they were able to sign Spoon for the same contract because they didn't want to start an argument.

    Updating previous reports, Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the five-year contract extension Carolina Panthers LB Dan Morgan received is worth $28 million, including $10 million in bonus money over the first two years of the contract.

    What happened to all that talk about how they'd learned from past mistakes and wouldn't spend a ton of money on players who weren't stars? I mean, I at least liked Wahle and Lucas as players, but they were paid too much as well. How many guys is that now? Maybe Smith, certainly Delhomme, Minter too; who else am I missing? Crap on a stick.

    Is that five-year contract extension + this year to = a total of 6 years? left on his contract?

    if so would that lower his cap figure?
