I know recruiting is a crapshoot, but we've had 2 really good classes so I say let them all play. We can't suck anymore than we already do, and you can find out if they are good enough or if you have to get some JC players (although I really dislike that route).

Thanks a lot Carl Torbush. Fucker.

Hey it works out well for Bunting also. Hes buying time, You see we have so many freshman, blah blah. Well I for 1 remember some of the names on your D because State recruited some of them. Anybody remember Joques Dumas, the next Julius Peppers, What about Clarance Gaddy and Jermecus Banks, 1 was highly rated nationally(Gaddy) while the other was a standout in the Shrine Bowl and one of the top recruits in North Carolina. And of coarse the "legend" Micheal Waddell, the Rabbit from Richmond high, Got down to 2 schools FSU and UNC. Well he picked UNC and the fans about peed all over themselves. Well how did that work out for Waddell?? I know this is only 4 and really all I'm familiar with but I'll tell you right now, Jim Grobe, Carl Franks, and most of the other ACC coaches would love to have this kind of Talent . Heck they could easily be at State right now and I'll bet that they would be playing and playing well. AT some point you have to DEVELOP and "Coach up"what you have.

As for Torbush also blame him for Durant your best player Guarantee you State (under Ocain) Wake(Caldwell) UVA(Welsh) and Maryland(Vanderliden) didn't recruit any better than UNC did, but those programs are at least competitive, and some will be ranked at seasons end.

Wish I could say that. Now if he had said "Winning is not the only thing" or hell just not even say anything about winning at all. Just say we need to take a lot of steps before we start winning or some shit.

Bunting sure is strange. I'm starting to wonder about his ability to run a program. Some can coach a position (offense or defense) but it takes real talent to run an entire program, and I aint talking about running it into the ground either. So far this UNC team is a major flop under Bunting. Get better or get out.

It seems like Bunting coaches well with good players. His good players seem to play well, and he doesn't seem to have many.

On the other hand, he doesn't seem to recruit terribly well. He also has lost coaches integral to his success, and if I remember correctly had replaced from within - a big mistake IMO. It's nice to have loyalty toward your assistants, but not to a fault, and not while passing over other potentially very talented candidates.

So there are certainly some ways that Bunting has failed. He seems to be used to having someone else whip his players into shape, and seems to be far too easy going now that he's got tons of youth and little more.
