    I want to keep him.

How much he gonna cost? Mags?

What will our cap look like if we can keep him? Is Mitchell in danger?

I definitely like Moose, but I wonder if him being the best reciever (healthiest anyway) on a bad team he is gonna boost his price tag with some good numbers. hope he doesnt price himself out of here. with Smith back, Moose is even more effective. lets hope he wants to stay here, by restructuring or not trying to break the bank on us.

I'm not a Moose Hater, and I'm certainly not a Moose lover. I can't help but remember in Atlanta last year when he just stopped for no apparent reason and gave up the game winning interception.

I would like him back but his age and inconsistency mean I don't want to give him a big money deal. If he will come back for a reasonable contract then I would do it.

    Without restructure?

Because of the restructure he did just before the season he now has a $10 million roster bonus due in March and something around $2 million in salary. Add a little for any incentives he makes this year and we're looking at a $13 million cap hit. Obviously that would change if we could restructure him again. Cutting him will hit our cap for roughly $2.5-3 million .

The more I read about Jake's struggles, it has to do with Steve cutting routes short. Moose apparently simply did the same. I don't know why there's play in our routes like that - there shouldn't be. But there is, and there was simply miscommunication.

Meat - how much he'll cost? Hell if I know. I set out a good extension for him here last year and they did that absurd $10 mil bonus thing instead. I'd say minimum $3 mil salary if it's a one year deal, less if it's two or more years.

How would that $3 million salary translate into a cap hit given the existing hit for 2005 and expected signing bonus on an extension? A 3-4 year deal puts him 35-36 yr old and probably done.
