I'm making a CD for this girl I work with as an anniversay gift (her hubby is taking her to Nigara Falls for their 1st anniversary.) She loves smooth R&B stuff like Teddy Pendergrass. Any ideas for mood music like Teddy? Suggestions would be appreciated. If I have to listen to 101.9 out of Charlotte for ideas much longer, I'm gonna have an aneurysm.

It's not R&B but a lot of people like Stan Getz, and Ravel's "Bolero."

When I lived with the Italian back in my younger years, we had a tape of Bolero where it plyed over and over and over again- THE best music in the world to make love to! If you time it right, you can build up and build up and then have the most amazing orgasm right at the ending forte'! :mushy:

    Damn I'm horny.

    Come on folks, more ideas?

Definitely Al Green, BB King is good too. Some of Bonnie Raitt's music would be good. Gladys Knight and the Pips, oh yeah!

He's leavin', Leavin, on that midnight train ta Geoorgia, leaving on that midnight train, ....

She would probably like Sade too.

    From the old school:

If she likes Teddy & Luther you must consider perhaps some Freddie Jackson, Frankie Beverly & Maze , Some old Commodores (like Zoom & Easy), Ojays (Brandy), Kieth Sweat, Barry White, Howard Hewitt (Say Amen), Roberta Flack (The closer I get to you).

From the newer school sounds like old school:

Kem (Love Calls & Say are awesome), Ruff Endz (Someone to love).

    Hope this helps.

Edit: Forgot my favorite Mood Music - Isley Brothers - "Here we go again", "Footsteps in the dark", "voyage to atlantis" etc...

Was going to list Earth Wind and Fire slow stuff but most of the songs remind me of tragic break ups... :(

So trust me on these Fred, in high school and college, I was the guy everyone - black, white, or yellow came to for "Da Slow Jam Tape" :D
