I'm all about us adding some talent at WR, contrary to many here. But I couldn't support this pick. First round has to be a lineman (either side) or a DB.

    I'd be happy with this.

I'm warming to Floyd myself, I'd be really happy about getting him.

Now anonymous league sources are putting Floyd in the top 10 or even top 5. I can see it based on potential, but that's a lot of risk that high.

Things will certainly change the next few weeks, maybe we'll get a shot at someone we though was out of reach.

Is Charles Woodson in vet minimum land yet? I'd be happy to give him a shot if that's the case.

Any veteran willing to play for peanuts would want to do so with a contender.

I'm starting to like Dion Jordan a whole lot. Always want pass rushers and he is extremely athletic.

Lande is very much respected as a scout. So much several teams buy his scouting report and use it in addition to their own homework. Really enjoy him on nfl radio on Wednesday mornings

That's rubbish. No NFL team hires outside help to do their scouting; they all do their own. And if he was "very much respected as a scout" then he would undoubtedly still be one, or at least have had some kind of prominent position during his brief NFL employment. That mock draft was indefensibly stupid. I don't simply disagree with what he put there, it's so daft that it colors everything else he has to say about any football-related subject.

    1. Kansas City Chiefs: Luke Joeckel - likely
    2. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ezekiel Ansah - completely idiotic. Ansah is a physical freak, but has played football for three years out of his entire life, and made an impact in only one of them.
    3. Oakland Raiders: Star Lotulelei - plausible
    4. Philadelphia Eagles: Eric Fisher - seems unlikely, but not outlandish
    5. Detroit Lions: Bjoern Werner - plausible
    6. Cleveland Browns: Keenan Allen - completely fucking retarded. Allen will still be a reach anywhere in the 11-15 range, which is probably where he'll go.
    7. Arizona Cardinals: Geno Smith - unlikely, but maybe Arians will be that desperate
    8. Buffalo Bills: Ryan Nassib - so moronic that writing this should qualify for evidence of a brain injury
    9. New York Jets: Dion Jordan - bit of a reach, but who knows
    10. Tennessee Titans: Dee Milliner - no way he falls this far, shoulder surgery or not
    11. San Diego Chargers: Lane Johnson - too high
    12. Miami Dolphins: Cordarrelle Patterson - JUCO transfer with talent but only one year of spotty production gets this high?
    13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Xavier Rhodes - too high
    14. Carolina Panthers: Sheldon Richardson - probably saw everyone else doing it
    15. New Orleans Saints: Jarvis Jones - even with the medical issues it's hard to imagine him falling this far
    16. St. Louis Rams: Kenny Vaccaro - too high
    17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Barkevious Mingo - Mingo is probably too slight for the Steelers' needs
    18. Dallas Cowboys: Chance Warmack - Putting Warmack at #18 has to be some kind of test to see which readers truly do have shit for brains
    19. New York Giants: Sharrif Floyd - plausible
    20. Chicago Bears: D.J. Fluker - would be pretty surprising to see him this high
    21. Cincinnati Bengals: Quinton Patton - makes no sense from a talent or need standpoints
    22. St. Louis Rams (From Washington): Tavon Austin - hasn't someone told this idiot that offensive skill position talent in this draft is weak?
    23. Minnesota Vikings: Jonathan Hankins - plausible draft spot, but I don't see the Vikings going DT
    24. Indianapolis Colts: Cornellius "Tank" Carradine - ridiculously high, as most have him going in the late 2nd / early 3rd.
    25. Seattle Seahawks: Terrance Williams - again, most have him as a late 2nd rounder
    26. Green Bay Packers: Alec Ogletree - he'll go higher than this despite the character concerns, also isn't a need for GB once Desmond Bishop returns
    27. Houston Texans: Kevin Minter - plausible
    28. Denver Broncos: Desmond Trufant - Why would Trufant go before Banks? Also, saying that Champ Bailey "is no longer a premier cornerback" makes the author look like an ignorant lout who didn't see Denver all season aside from the Baltimore playoff game.
    29. New England Patriots: Margus Hunt - Another 3rd round prospect inexplicably put here, especially because the author doesn't seem to realize that New England already has Ninkovich and Chandler Jones playing outside.
    30. Atlanta Falcons: Eddie Lacy - plausible
    31. San Francisco 49ers: Jesse Williams - plausible
    32. Baltimore Ravens: Manti Te’o - plausible

Meanwhile where is Damontre Moore? Most have him in the top 10, but this has him outside the first round. Where is Jonathan Cooper? John Jenkins? Eifert? So yes, that mock draft was mind-boggling stupid. It showed total ignorance of player evaluation and team needs. Stuff like this frustrates me precisely because it wastes the time of the reader. It's complete garbage.

He worked at CBS Sports, For the Cleveland Browns and them scouting administrator for the Rams. Worked for NFL Today, Provides all of the info for the sporting news for both the season and the draft. You may not agree but he does have the background which makes opinion more valid or worthwhile than other sites
