I think he's a solid QB prospect, but he should go in the early second round to a team that doesn't need to use him right away.

We all agreed that he wasn't in that draft.

And by WE he means himself.

I thought he was worthy of the #1 pick, FWIW

No, it was universal, or at least among the people who actually matter. Magnus agreed, as did the other prominent board members, not to mention Kiper, McShay, and every draft "expert." Plenty of people thought he would go #1 anyway simply because the Panthers' need was so desperate, but he clearly wasn't going that high on merit.

    edit:
Except meatpile, who was a one-man Newton train.

Thankfully the people that ACTUALLY did matter were the Panthers and not the so called experts like Kiper and McShay who had Gabbert rated the better QB. I cant believe you're actually mentioning McShay with all the dick slobbering he did over Gabbert.

I know Dareus was the more popular (safer) choice here but there were some who beat to their own drum and wanted Newton. And some (Magnus) actually admitted they got it wrong.

Whats also interesting is Dwan Edwards arguably had a more productive season than Dareus last year.

Bingo. I was on team Marcel but Cam has improved our QB status. Hoping he gets a bit pissed at all the attention RG3, Wilson and Luck get and steps up his play

I wanted to trade down. As of now I have mixed feelings about him.

It sucked not having a high second rounder so it made some sense.

How would you be feeling now if we drafted Gabbert or Dareus instead?

If Foxy was still here, I guess it could have been Von Miller.

Than again, if JC was still the starter, we probably would have had Luck (if he didnt pull an Eli)
