I I want to thank you two for the ideas on strategy. I guess I'm getting a little fanatical about losing to the damn Falcons. In fact it's gotten to the point where it ruins my season when they beat us.

Sounds like to me we may be better matched with them this year with a more balanced team. I have more faith in our new RBs and OL than most and if I read you guys right the 3/4 is more suited to stopping a short passing game than a running game that features a descent OL and good backs. I also think Fox is preparing to use the H-back and play action aganst this D. From our on team experience, when we had a strong NT the 3/4 worked, when we lost our nose the whole scheme seem to fall apart. Here's hoping that Jasper cannot stand aganst our big center. You can bet I'll be watching closely.

Come on Fox give us a good gameplan aganst the dirtybirds this year.

It's not so much that it's the Falcons for me. It's that they're in the same division. We gotta win those.

Well, the 3/4 can be effective vs the run if you have good, stout, BIG men and a couple of good inside linebackers. I just don't think Atlanta has the defensive line to run it.

A lot of the 3-4 utilizes run blitzes. I know the pash rush was made famous with the likes of Kevin Green and Lamar Lathon especially in these parts. However we ran a lot of run blitzes that was designed to shoot the gap and breakup the play behind the line. If you can recall we did have some real good succes with that. Once again it really helps to have a Kragen or something like that that demands a double team. Thats one area that killed us v/s Greenbay in the championship game, we failed to contain Levens. Green simply could not stop him from getting the corner. that game alone made Levens a millionair.
