Dye to Red Sox?
Jul 30 - The chances are "pretty good" that the Red Sox will trade for White Sox outfielder Jermaine Dye before Tuesday's deadline, a source told the Boston Globe.
The Globe reported that the White Sox would get Wily Mo Pena and one of either minor league pitcher Justin Masterson or Sox reliever Manny Delcarmen.

Reds Phillies Lohse to Phillies?
Jul 30 - ESPN.com's Jayson Stark reported Monday that the Phillies and the Reds are "close to a deal" that would send Kyle Lohse to the Phillies for a prospect.
A number of teams have been scouting Lohse, but he seemed to be nobody's first choice -- including the Phillies'. But he did pitch great against them earlier this year (7 innings, 1 run, 0 earned.). And he's coming off a win over the Brewers in which he allowed one earned run in 5 2/3 innings.

 

Lohse going to the Phils and the Braves getting Teixieria leaves the Mets without any actuion so far. I goota think that they will make a move before the deadline.
