i wasn't arguing that we are ready for it. not close. but anything, even an empty baseball stadium, is better than the nba.

i think they should move the knights uptown to a stadium built after the one in norfolk where the tides play. its a baby pnc park.

shouldn't be a problem building a bay in downtown charlotte, correct?

I have a question. I'm not a huge follower of all the intricacies in the game between owners and the league, etc. I keep hearing people badmouthing Angelos, but if I recall correctly, he had the balls to refuse to sign the owners agreement terminating the season a few years ago, and is pro-salary cap. So why does he get grief?

Bump . . . . It looks like Loudon County, VA is the first DC entity that has a ballpark financing plan approved for a possible home to les Expos in 2005. But considering how bad traffic is in the DC area and the site doesn't have any mass transit options yet, will anybody be able to get to the ballpark on time for games ? ? ? ?

Expos heading to LOudon County, Va? Hmmmmm . .

i heard one dc sportswriter speak on this the other day while listening to fnz. he said that dc is tired of being drug around by the nose by mlb. with all the questions about dc's infrastructure its still a better fit than montreal. this has gone from ridiculous to pathetic.

Bump . . . DC & MLB Start Extended Discussions on moving les Expos

It looks like a possible deal to move the Expos to DC is closer to reality . . . Obviously, O's owner Peter Angelos is bitching about it big time (he won't even discuss financial compensation for the team to move there, which he really doesn't deserve since the Expos in DC wouldn't occupy the defined O's market of Baltimore and its surrounding counties . . And I thought he was suppose to have been a smart guy   . . ). An official announcement might be made in the next few days or even tonight.

MLB About to recommend DC for new home of les Expos?

THE BOTTOME LINE: Could DC get the required votes to move les Expos to the nations capitol? I think they could; Owners are tired of subsidizing the Expos and want the team off their books. Plus a chance to screw Angelos would be hard to pass up :D :D !!!!
