the athletic ability i hear about this ruy guy makes me think that he could play for the orioles one day- anyone who can throw like billy wagner (fast) and hit like kirk gibson (clutch)

The Bobcats new arena is using up all of the available hotel-motel and rental car tax funds right now, so that source is tied up for the next few years . . Plus, Charlotte isn't big enough to support 3 teams right now. I think Tampa Bay is the smallest market that pulls it off right now (NHL, MLB, & NFL) with a metro population of 1.8-2M. CLT is at 1.5M. Hopefully in about 5-10 more years will be ready for MLB :) . .

Baseball requires what 23-25k fans a night EVERY night to come even close to breaking even. That means every time Tampa Bay or Kansas City or Pittsburgh comes in on Tuesday night we need 25k fans there. I don't see it happening. Get a nicer minor league park similar to what Durham has . Heck Louisville has lead the minor league in attendance for years I think
