Basically, UNC mishandled this situation entirely and is clearly trying to cover their collective asses to avoid any embarrassment. Doherty was the scape goat.

As a Tarheel fan I am amazed by the noticable desention in the "family" Having MJ publically come out and basically call the handling bullshit can't bode well for Brodour. Has to make any other Tarheel alum (Williams, Karl, Brown, or Peterson) weary of coming back in the current regeme. I am throughly pissed by this. Brodour has to go, period.

Best think MJ could do is call Dean and ask where to send a Brodours last check.

As a Tarheel fan, I'm amazed that it took so freakin long for the "family" to finally wake up and see what the hell has been going on for atleast the last 10 years. Baddour's incompetence has been camouflaged by the past success of Dean Smith and Mack Brown. When Mack left, the problems were only slightly revealed but when Dean retired Baddour's true colors were completely exposed. It's obvious that he has had one of the easiest jobs in the country and when it came time to replace a legend, he couldn't meet the challenge. Six years later, he still can't and the instability of the program is damaging to the institution's tradition and future opportunity. They need new blood at a different level, Baddour's level.

Amen, Fred. Baddour's the bad seed in Chapel Hill.

Mike's always been in Doherty's corner. I'm pretty sure he was pushing pretty hard for him to get the job in the first place.

Yes he was. Now he needs to get in the corner to fired Brodour. But a little hint about Mack Brown. He was offered exactly the same amount of coin to stay at UNC that Texas offered. Brown was tired of being coach at a school where football wasn't the top sport. Heck tarheel fans would have been thrilled to go 8-3 or 9-2 every year in football. Texas fans arn't happy when they lose to Nebraska and Oklahoma. I bet he is gone within 5 years

I've said all along, Mack would not be a long timer at Texas. Once they figure out its his coaching that pulls down his recruiting skills it'll be a few years after that... should be soon.
