MJ is not coming to the Bobcats!!!!!

Oh well, I guess Ed Tapscott or Bernie Bickerstaff (WNBA Sting GM) will become the first GM of the Bobcats . . . I like the fact that Bob told MJ 'Nooo, you can't be majority owner of the team!!!' since he didn't cough up $300 million to buy the team. I'm sure that's going to piss a few UNC fans here . . .


MJ Ain't Coming To Charlotte

 

Not me, I don't care much for the NBA right now. As long as he does what's best for the team and it brings back my interest, then I don't care who he hires.

 

I'm a UNC fan and this decision doesn't piss me off at all. In fact, I think its a very good thing that MJ will not be coming to town. First off, he'd always have the disappointment of not being the owner. Second, he'd be a commuting President, meaning he would never move to Charlotte. What does that say when both the owner and President reside elsewhere? Thirdly, the Bobcats can now work under their own identity, rather than always in the shadow of MJ. Fourth, MJ has NOT proven himself a competent personnel person or team President. While I think MJ is the greatest pro basketball that's ever played the game, unfortunately, that doesn't always translate to a successful basketball team when he's in the upper office.

I say good news of MJ's announcement he won't be coming.

 

Ed Tabscot will be on 610 this hour.

It really doesn't matter but I have a question. Sometimes Ed, on camera, looks like a white man others he looks Afro-American. Again, he seems like a great guy regardless but is he black or white or whatever.

 

To me no MJ is no big deal. I have always been of the mind that when mj don't have a b-ball in his hands he is an ass first and a human being second. Charlotte really don't need that.
