Actually, I believe "Tar HEll" is in fact the preferred spelling. Same as Chapel HEll.

The good thing about being a heal fan now is that football season is fast apon us and Duke is the league bitch - Duke means most of us ACC football teams can put one in the W column...

Sorry Mag. My first reaction was to say we needed some help at LB. i love Morgan and Fields, but am worried about the lack of depth. I was thinking about it though, and I think Del Rio may be jsut what it takes to helps Mills really capitolise on these guys' potential. I'll reserve judgement on them for later. Short of that I think our most glaring need is a big bubba run stopper up the middle. Peppers and Jammer are both expected to imrove our passing defense, but the one game I got to make it to last year (the Saints), they came back and killed us with the run.

yeah, I'm non-descript on LB right now. Kinda want to see what's out there. I've got some people trying to pimp UNC's Thornton as a third round pick and I just can't buy it.

Yea, we gotta be able to stop the run. I think we'll go with Peppers, and I think we'll go RB in round 2. We've picked up some pretty good guys, and I'm ok with our secondary as a whole. I'm actually thinking our needs have changed somewhat to DE, RB, WR, QB, then CB. Any one of our CB's can go down, and there's not much of a drop-off. There's not too much room to drop at the line anyway, and our RB, well...no comment. But we lose Weinke and Jeffers, and I'm getting shakey.

I wouldn't go as far as to pimp him, but it day 2 rolls around and LeVar Fisher is still around, I wouldn't ming having him.

I'd take Fisher at 67 if we've gotten RB at 34 and CB doesn't look good, or if we got CB at 34. But Thornton I wouldn't take until the 5th, I rate him mid-4th and the 100 pick is just too valuable for a small linebacker without speed.

    Defensive corner stones?

Cornerstones on defence to me are Morgan, Minter and hopefully Peppers. Need areas on defence definately are front line and cornerback. But as most know a good way to make a cornerback look great is for the down linemen to actually apply some pressure so the CB's don't have to cover for a whole calender year. Address the front line in the draft this year with an additional LB and then go after a above average CB either in June when cuts are made.
